Avi C. Shoham

Avi C. Shoham is an experienced civil attorney with an extensive background in the business and legal sectors. A native of Washington, D.C., Mr. Shoham obtained his B.A. in Government & Politics from the University of Maryland in 2003 before earning his law degree from the Widener University School of Law, in Wilmington, Delaware, in 2007.

Prior to embarking on his legal career, Mr. Shoham spent several years working in corporate management as a shareholder in his family’s business – a privately-owned licensee of Serta, Inc. – manufacturing and distributing mattress and bedding products under the Serta brand. During this time, Mr. Shoham gained invaluable experience navigating the business world.

After relocating to South Florida in 2015, Mr. Shoham gained admission to the Florida Bar and commenced his legal career, working at a boutique personal injury and criminal defense firm and a property insurance litigation firm. Prior to joining KALIS, KLEIMAN & WOLFE in 2023, Mr. Shoham spent 5+ years as a Senior Associate Attorney at a civil litigation firm in Miami, concentrating his practice primarily in the areas of admiralty and maritime law, where he represented the world’s largest cruise lines in civil litigation.

Mr. Shoham is admitted to practice law in Florida and Pennsylvania. He is admitted to practice in all Florida state courts as well as in the United States District Court, Southern District of Florida.
